Cleese across America

image image imageThe tour has begun!

So, Anyway… is officially out in North America, and so is its author. The first round of publicity is in New York City, with a photo shoot, a book signing, a public interview by The New York Times’ Dave Itzkoff, and assorted interviews with press across North America.

The Times Talk is long sold out, but will be telecast live at http://timestalks.com/detail-event.php?event+john_cleese

Of course, one of the highlights of the day had to be the book signing at the Fifth Avenue Barnes and Noble, where John signed hundreds of books and chatted with virtually all of his fans. They all left smiling—and most of them left with an armload of books!

John even ended up meeting with more fans during lunch at New York’s famed Carnegie Deli. After enjoying one of their massive but delicious specialties, John posed for a picture and will be joining their wall of fame soon. Stop by and see what he posed with!

Wednesday morning, don’t miss MSNBC’s Morning Joe, where John is scheduled to appear live during the final hour of the morning. There will be numerous other interviews throughout the day, leading up to Wednesday night, when John will talk about his autobiography on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart! This is going to be a good one, so don’t miss it!

Cleesehead Central

This is the week! So, Anyway… is being released in North America on Tuesday, so keep your eyes peeled for lots of John Cleese in print, radio, television and the web–particularly the latter, where I’ll be posting and tweeting along the journey with John as he talks, and talks, and talks about his new autobiography. This will be the place to be, starting with Tuesday’s Barnes and Noble signing at 555 Fifth Avenue from 12:30 to 2 pm. And Tuesday evening, there’s a New York Times “Times Talks” event at The New School, 66 West 12th Street at 7:30 pm.

Then, Wednesday morning, be sure to watch Morning Joe on MSNBC. Lots of #johncleese and #soanyway this week–and if you don’t live in New York, don’t worry–he’s going to be doing a lot of traveling. And, I’ll be with him all the way, giving you all the latest updates!

Cleeseheads Across North America

It should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been reading my blogs, tweets, and posts that they have all been gradually overrun by information on John Cleese and his promo tour for his autobiography, So, Anyway… There’s no reason to fight it, and so for the next month or so, I’ll be posting from the road, starting November 4.

I’ll be traveling with John as he tours North America, doing personal appearances, interviews, and showing himself to be far more inexhaustible than I am. But I’ll try my best to keep up with him, and post whatever photos, behind-the-scenes comments, and great thoughts about each of the events as they happen.
If you have a chance to see John interviewed at any of the more than a dozen venues across North America, you’re in for a treat. And even if John is not coming to your town, you’re going to love So, Anyway… which goes on sale in America the first week of November. Stay tuned. #montypythonlive
